The resent events in Iran and the implications do not board well for world piece it is a pity that there always seems to be a dictator of one or other nation threatening world piece. Mean while in Southern Africa Mad Bob Magabe is doing his best to kill his fellow countrymen by starvation and regular beatings. I took a drive through one of the local townships here in my home city last Sunday and it was remarkable how medieval the whole situation of these poor country men seemed to be for there were mothers with children on there backs others selling half a sheep’s head to passers by out to buy there Sunday lunch from a street vendor of course the smell of slaughtered cattle pervaded every thing I even noticed in one of the shops recently in a meat tray the remains of a cow head skin and horns in there awesome beauty. For one of the leading countries in Africa South Africa still has a long way to go before it catches up with first world countries.
Another thing that worries me is the rebirth of old wives tale’s and the old earth mother goddess of African traditions it has even reached the national broadcasting corporation who regularly have witch doctors and other neo religious specialists on the radio telling us how glorious African religions are and of course Jesus never existed and Africans build the great pyramids of Egypt I am sorry some of there claims make me want to burst out in laughter and others just plan make me cross. My family originally came out to this country two centuries ago but I think at heart we are still European and proud of our Scottish roots So I am off to paint myself blue and drink a spot of what killed aunty.

I don't know how many miles exactly it is from where we live, but it is a million miles away from our way of living up here in the north of Europe. 200 years ago those people were less dependent on the help of others than they are now. 200 years ago slavery, apparently, was abolished. What infact happened was, 200 years ago the politicians informed the world that slavery was abolished in the British Empire. 200 years on and the politicians are still not telling the truth.
