The man on the couch gave a last heave before expiring the light passing from his eyes for the last time. The woman who had been tending him burst into tears. One of the young men who stood a little apart in the room in the painted palace moved forward and placed his arms on the shoulders of the weeping woman. Mother your highness come away he is gone to the happy after life he drew her to her feet and lead her away the woman continued to weep.

In 1804 the vecomte Jaquces De Matlandia returned to France after a long journey from Egypt he had been among the first commanders of Le Grand Army to land on the ancient shores with a battalion of men under him he had made his way to the rallying point only to watch in amazement as the combined fleets of France and Spain were destroyed. There after abandoned by the little Corsican emperor the vecomete had taken the step of leading the battalion across the western desert on a death march which very few would survive in the hopes of returning to his beloved France.

A most frightening thing happened to me tonight
@ 07. Jun 2006 – 22:33:53
I was walking to work thinking what shall the mummy Tuthmosis who visits this page get up to tonight? I had reached a dark spot on the road to work the trees hung over the road the light was no where to be seen when for some reason I got the idea that there was some one running up behind me I heard the padded feet of the mummy running towards me I turned convinced he was there hearing the bag I carry over my shoulder jerked against the small of my back. On spinning round I screamed like a woman in fear of been attacked by the mummy only to find myself alone on a deserted road Thank God there was no one there to laugh at me because at that moment I felt very foolish.

Some of the stories I write come from dreams I have this one I had last night I thought I would write it down before the memory begins to fade.
The man sat in one of the chairs in the reception area of the high school a little uncomfortable in the long leather coat that reached almost all the way to the top of his boots. He knew the school well he had attended the same school until about eight years earlier when he had graduated. Now he was back he had come in response to an advertisement that the school was looking for a history teacher. The interview had gone well Mr. De Wit the principal had reason to remember Jim.

The Tuthmosis diaries
@ 03. Jun 2006 – 02:36:57
Old Tuthmosis dusted off his mummy and stepped out of his tomb he had not been out much lately so he was quite surprised when he saw a Bedouin coming down the bumpy road in an old VW. My how times have changed I remember last time I was out the Bedouins were still riding camels now they come in cans thought Tuthmosis.
